What was it in the early church that made it grow so explosively? Is there anything that we can pull out of that first century church and apply to our own church in the 21st Century? This sermon explores that question and offers practical teaching on how it can and should affect us as we live in community with one another. Preached at Broadview Baptist Church Main Campus.

One of the most shocking statements made in this message is the phrase “God will kill you.” In reality, that’s very true. God gives life and he takes it away. Someday, you will die. It is appointed for every person to die. The real question is, what have you done with your life while on this earth. This sermon illustrates two different characters. God and Herod. Both sought glory for themselves and Herod lost. (note: audio starts 10 minutes into sermon)

This is a sermon preached by out of 2nd Peter 1:1-4 at Broadview’s Main Campus. Here is a synopsis:
God’s divine power has been given to all who have obtained faith in the righteousness of Jesus Christ. That divine power becomes effective through the knowledge that God has called us to his glory and excellence. When we hang the promises of God in front of our eyes, we have power to resist the temptations of sin and are lured on in paths of justice and love unto eternal life.
IF you find yourself falling into the same sin consistently there may be deeper issue. This message looks at and explains how to battle inconsistency in one’s Christian walk.

This is the last sermon I will preach out of Broadview’s WHYseries. This sermon answers biblically the question, “Why Can’t I Change” by looking at the words of Jesus and Solomon. In life we have the tendency to develop a filter by which we let all our words, thoughts, and actions pass through. Sadly, the filter is never enough. In this message we learn what the deeper issue is and the first steps of how it is we can move in the direction of truly changing our behavior. Preached at Broadview Baptist Church Main Campus.
